Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

It is said that one who listens to discourse on Bhagwat Katha has fructified all results of past good karmas. This Katha is extra- ordinary as it can be received neither by heaven dwellers nor the powerful demons. This Katha can only be bestowed to residents on earth and hence those who attend it consider themselves as immensely fortunate.
Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized a 7 days Shrimad Bhagwat Katha program from 19th June to 25th June, 2016 at Samana, Punjab. It was attended by a huge gathering including a list of distinguished guests and eminent personalities. Beauty of this Katha lies in the fact that it is a great summation of devotion and knowledge. It is composed by Maharishi Veda Vyas in the highest state of yoga, which is Samadhi. Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, orator of the Katha said, “Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is a bejewelled epic which is pronounced by God Himself and which has the power to make one realize its higher goal in life.” She explained that all issues of society are entangled with each other and cannot be solved only through the usage of our intellect. There needs to be a spiritual reform to bring about transformation in the society today.
DJJS has been making many such endeavours towards this societal uplift. An ongoing program named Antarkranti- working for prisoners' reformation is one such step. As a part of Antarkranti, jail inmates are imparted with Brahma Gyan by which they connect with true way of meditation. On regular practice of meditation, an inner change in conduct and behaviour is observed among the jail inmates. They don't want revenge any more rather they want to volunteer for social causes and live a pure life henceforth.
Sadhvi Ji is the preacher disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (founder and mentor of DJJS). She elaborated that Brahm Gyan (Divine knowledge) is the direct perception of divine light within us. The power to bestow Brahm Gyan is with a perfect master only, which Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is doing in current era. A meditating person can see this light in one's forehead at centre of eyebrows. At the time of receiving Brahm Gyan, individual in meditation experiences numerous other divine visions, like the sweet taste of nectar, the limitless music- anhad, clear primordial vibration etc. By the constant practice of Brahm Gyan, one lives a balanced, happy and peaceful life. All ifs and buts are removed. If an individual becomes peaceful, then a society can become peaceful.
There was huge appreciation amongst the audience on Sadhvi Ji's wide knowledge and eloquent speech. All guests were seen listening very attentively to the preacher and most of them sat through the entire session in spite of their busy schedule. The guests said that they came to know about all social and spiritual programs in progress and they are all very commendable. They mentioned that this dialogue based epic Shrimad Bhagwat Katha was presented in a unique style which is praise worthy. As need for such spiritual programs was highlighted in the discourse, its relevance should be understood by all age groups of society. Guests expressed their pleasant surprise when being invited to volunteer for such spiritual programs with great zeal and enthusiasm irrespective of the cast, categories and age groups.

Monthly Spiritual Congregation Soaked in Divinity

We all recognize the importance of well-being. It’s really essential to be physically healthy. But it’s like nurturing only the outer layer of fruit. If the seed is not healthy, then that nourishment goes in vain. Likewise, living with just a physically fit body without spiritual fitness won’t make us lead a life of a complete well-being.
Denninger, the Director of Research at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, one of Harvard Medical School’s teaching hospitals says, “There is a true biological effect when one meditates. The kinds of things that happen when you meditate do have effects throughout the body, not just in the brain.”
When there is a lack of spirituality in the society, mental impurity begins to build up in the environment. This is known as Psychological Pollution. And this depletes the ‘spiritual energy’. Meditation is a spiritual union that allows the higher consciousness of ours to bond with the collective energy of the universe.
Hence, in order to reveal the secret of spiritually fit body, mind and soul and to make people feel the magic of spiritual nourishment in their life, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) - a non-profit, non-government and a leading spiritual organization, head and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a program of Monthly Spiritual Congregation on Sunday, June 12th, 2016 at Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab.
The program was commenced with holy prayer at the lotus feet of Lord. Devotional bhajans and songs sung with utmost dedication mesmerized the audience. The profound sense of devoting the life for a supreme cause filled the surrounding with divinity. Thousands of people sitting in meditation generated multitudes of positivity in the environment.
The spiritual discoursers from the dais shared the necessity of spirituality by making people realize the loss by not making it a part of our life. Today when the universe is full of negative energies, it becomes our prime duty to meditate and purify it as much as we can. Don’t let even a single minute of your life go waste. If you wile away this time and do not meditate, its value will be gone as your soul will miss out the most divine experiences of the Lord. On the other hand, if you meditate hard during this time, then you will become the brightest gems.
Hence, as His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, says, “ Wake Up!! Meditate and stop not until your Lord comes and embraces you!!! ”

DJJS Ram Katha, Guided the Path to Righteousness

 RAM KATHA

Lord Ram’s entire persona inspires to follow the righteousness as each part of his character puts him in the category of an idol. He was not only the epitome of an ideal man, a son, a brother, a friend, a husband, a father and a king but also a veteran manager. In words of HIS Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, Lord Ram is Right Action Man (RAM). According to Maharaj Ji, a true devotee, who is always following his master’s commands, can imbibe the invaluable qualities of Ram. Just like Vibhishana, who stood for righteousness in spite of the Ravana’s (his brother) numerous bad words, a true disciple’s faith never wavers.
In order to encourage congregators towards righteousness and to make them understand the supreme philosophy of Lord Ram, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS)- a non- government, non-profit and a leading spiritual organization, head and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, conducted a seven days program of Shri Ram Katha from May 8th -14th,2016, at Latur, Maharashtra.
The program initiated with the devotional prayer at the lotus feet of Lord Ram. DJJS extended warm welcome to all guests, preachers, volunteers and congregators. Then after, a series of melodious bhajans composed with words of wisdom and tuned with extreme devotion, just made people engaged in the divinity of environment.
The spiritual discourser of the program- Sadhvi Praveena Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, cited many profound examples of Lord Ram’s actions and words. A devotee with traits of unshakable faith, extreme patience, perseverance, complete devotion and discipline, can definitely reach to the Almighty. Just like, Vibhishana was firm and patient to the core even after facing the wrath of his brother Ravana, was ready to accept the death but never let his faith waver. He even sacrificed his mighty family. To such exceptional devotees, Lord Smiles and say-“I am extremely pleased to have you as my devotee; your dedication is the most precious. By saving you from negativities, I not only serve my duties, but also take the responsibility of saving individuals with great values.”
Sadhvi Ji also stated that to reach at the pinnacle of righteousness and devotion, one needs to have divine knowledge and grace of a perfect master since these traits are not easy to acquire or imbibe. DJJS, along with spreading the message, also provides the technique of acquiring the right path which is ‘Brahm Gyan’. Many devotees learnt this technique, thereby taking first step to the divinity.

DJJS evoked 'Inner Shakti'

 DJJS evoked 'Inner Shakti'

India is full of worshippers, no matter what God they worship but are very sincerely and devoted to their Gods and Goddesses. Ma Durga has a special place in their hearts. People worship them and pray for strength, courage and compassion. As Goddess Durga is seated on Lion, she is an epitome of power. She is THE holy mother who destroys ego and jealousy from our hearts. But, is singing a prayer every day enough? No one can gain the traits without first experiencing the divinity of Goddess Durga.
A Mother has the potential
To carve a life that can outshine;
Salutes to the one who guides her child,
To tread the path of Lord Divine!
In order to make people know about the correct way of experiencing the divinity of Goddess, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) - a non-profit, non-government and a leading spiritual organization, headed and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a program of Mata Ki Chowki on 25th April, 2016 at Jalandhar, Punjab.
The program initiated with the humble prayer at the lotus feet of Goddess Durga. Thereafter, series of devotional bhajans and prayers just compelled the audience to dance along with the melodious tunes. In some of the bhajans, audience was awestruck by the inspirational lyrics which were trying to make them understand that the supreme consciousness (Lord in the form of divine light) can be seen and the life cannot be successful without witnessing its divine kingdom within one’s heart.
The spiritual discourser of the programme- Sadhvi Manglawati Bharti Ji, profoundly explained the divine message that God and Goddesses are trying to give to the mankind through their spiritual acts. No matter, whether one worships Goddess Durga or Goddess Saraswati or Goddess Lakshmi, the divinity of that supreme consciousness is the same. God is one and it has no gender.
The ‘Shakti Jagran’ is only possible when true spiritual master of the time bestows the Divine eye to witness the Lord within one’s soul. Only then, the power which was in the dormant state inside will be manifested outside.
The program served the holy purpose of generating the spiritual spirit in the hearts of audience and encouraged each one to witness the actual “Shakti” existing within them.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

  Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

On the bank of Kshipra river, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, during the epic celebration of Kumbh Mahaparv, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan holds a mega event consisting of three kathas, RudrashtadhyaiVilakshan Yoga Shivir, Ayurvedic health camp, and much more. In the series ofkathas, the primary occasion, Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, was held from April 24th to April 30th, 2016.
Katha orator, Sadhvi Aastha Bharti Ji is a world-renowned narrator and purveyor who does not only theorize the holy katha but also indicates towards the practical aspect of the tale. Sadhvi Ji, the daughter disciple of His Holiness Sarv Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the head and founder of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, has experienced the same herself practically. She proclaimed that all narration in any holy scripture known to mankind has a practical aspect that can only be perceived with the guidance of a true master.
Amongst some key attendees was respectable Morari Bapu who kindly granted his presence as well as paid reverence to kathavyas Sadhvi Ji. In addition, Sant Sh. Mahesh Guru Ji from Prem Yamuna Sewa Trust, Ujjain, Sh. Rakesh Ji Dagor, BJP-Sambhagiya Sangathan Mantri Sambhag, Ujjain, Sh. Santosh Ji Verma, Atirikt Jiladish Jila Ujjain, Sh. Jagdish Ji Kulmi, Chief Manager – Narmada-Jabuva Gramin Bank, Ujjain all appeared as chief guests at the grand event.
All spiritual manuscripts, religious texts, and divine contents, point towards one eternal law: God can be seen.
Similar is the declaration in Bhagwat Gita where Lord Krishna showed HIS true form to Arjuna amidst the battlefield. Thus Arjuna, a seeker and a devotee of the Lord, realized the practical aspect of all principles imparted by Lord Krishna, thereby epitomizing the principal of ‘Seeing is believing’.
Sadhvi Aastha Bharti Ji enunciated that His Holiness is revealing the same experience today through which she, along with countless beneficiaries, have seen God. Brahm Gyan is the scientific technique of experiencing the light of Lord within; the sole proof is that any seeker of the Lord can experience it as well.
Amongst a current of sadhus, religious ascetics, and yogis, how can one identify a true Guru? Sadhvi Ji explained, citing the Bhagwat Gita, a true Guru such as the Jagad Guru, Lord Krishna, is the one who can enable one to fathom the true form of the God within. A perfect master does not limit the seeker to the boundaries of traditions and rituals but takes him to the abode of Lord Himself.
The Katha enriched the audience from all fronts of life with the true message behind the Holy Scripture instilling the quest to know God beyond the rites and customs set by society.

An Ultimate Remedy to Stress

 DJJS
Calculate your score for the following questionnaire:

  1. Feel tired or fatigued even after taking adequate sleep?
  2. Experience frequent mood swings?
  3. Face difficulty in taking decisions?
  4. Face problem in concentration and remembering important things?
  5. Experience headache, stomach disorders, and restlessness?
  6. Fall short of time often and have to rush to get the job completed?
  7. Unable to perform tasks well?
  8. Observe changes in appetite– desire to binge or loss of appetite?
  9. Lack the zeal and spirit to deal with the situations in life?
  10. Even trifle matters annoy you or make you upset?
Today's fast-running life has unfortunately magnified the scores of such questionnaires, thus labelling the present age as the age of stress and anxiety. According to the American Institute of Stress, 75% to 90% of visits made by the people to primary care physicians are due to stress. In America, 78% men are stressed about money, 55% about job stability, 58% about housing costs and 63% for the health problems affecting their families. It is estimated that in the UK, over 13 million working days are lost every year because of stress. In fact, such a shocking state of statistics is prevalent in almost every part of the world today and for all age groups, be it the youth, the middle-aged or the old. These stress statistics undoubtedly present before us a distressed and diseased state of the world.
Someone has rightly distinguished between health and disease by calling 'health' as the phase of life characterised by successful adjustment with the circumstances, while 'disease' being the phase of failure in establishing this harmony. In other words, it's all dependent upon how well a person tunes himself to the challenges and pressures surrounding him. If he is able to work out a successful adjustment for himself, he is said to be healthy, else diseased (or stressed in specific). It is due to this absence of tuning today that we see more and more people falling into the abyss of stress.
The Oxford dictionary defines stress as a state of mental or emotional strain resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances. It is a pressure or tension that has the tendency to cause deformation or damage not only on the outside but also inside, in the form of disruption of the equilibrium state of the body's bio-chemical setup. The biochemical processes taking place inside the body strive to maintain a state of equilibrium called homeostasis. However, stress is the condition that tends to disturb this equilibrium. The moment the setup is thrown out of balance, an instinctive reflex action comes into play in the form of fight or flight mechanism. It's essentially a series of nervous system firings, which release stress hormones in the body. Let's understand it from the perspective of the functioning of an individual's physiological mechanism.
A particular branch of the nervous system is called the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), which is responsible for many functions in the body that occur “automatically”. These include digestion, blood pressure, body temperature and heart rate. ANS is divided into two parts– the sympathetic and the parasympathetic autonomic nervous systems. When a person faces a stressful situation, the state of equilibrium gets disrupted and the sympathetic nervous system puts him into a state of arousal through fight or flight mode. It triggers this action in order to help him deal with the stressor in a better way. Then the parasympathetic system steps in and tries to calm him down, thus restoring the state of balance and relaxation.
A person lands up in trouble when the stressors go on throwing attacks on him one after the other. This results in frequent triggering of the sympathetic nervous system, which is in 'always on' mode as compared to the parasympathetic nervous system, which doesn't get time and opportunity to restore the balance. The frequent triggering of sympathetic nervous system means that a person repeatedly jumps into fight or flight mode, thereby becoming more aggressive and impatient in responding to the situations. Moreover, frequent disturbances in the state of equilibrium cast an impact on the immune system of the person, thus making him more susceptible to virus attacks and infections. Studies have shown that the hormones released on experiencing stress reduce the rate of neurogenesis– a mechanism of the growth of new neurons in the hippocampus. These new neurons play an important role in absorbing the impact of stress. A study led by Heather Cameron was reported in the journal Nature. In this study, the scientists interrupted neurogenesis in mice and then observed their response to stress. It was found that the level of the corticosterone hormone was elevated, which meant a downfall in their ability to recover from stress.
Experiments reveal that a body's response to a stressful condition consists of three stages, together known as General Adaptation Syndrome (See fig.1).
In the alarm stage, the adrenaline upsurge triggers the fight or flight response in an individual. If the situation persists, the individual remains perpetually aroused, with blood still having elevated levels of glucose. The depletion of inner energy resources of the body continues. The exhaustion stage finally brings a person to a state where all his resources are exhausted and his bodily functions become unable to maintain normal course of action anymore.
Today, lot many remedial measures are being adopted to cope with the problem of stress and anxiety. These include medication, therapies, exercises, along with the offer of other defence mechanisms like rationalisation, passive aggression, etc. However, the stress index still shows a continuous increase. Or, in other words, the happiness index yet fails to show a substantial rise in response to the measures adopted today. It seems as if we are playing the game of snakes and ladders in the name of dealing with stress. The hits and trials made at times make us climb a ladder and take us to a seemingly better state. But, soon the effect  gets diminished and the person falls back to square one. The moot question, therefore, is: 'How to relieve or save oneself from the trap of the stress monster?'
To understand the answer to this question, consider a spider web. A spider sits in the centre and keeps on weaving a web around it. Now, if someone pricks the web or even ruptures it, the problem remains unsolved. Reason being, the root cause is still alive and remains unharmed by any number of attacks on the web. The attack needs to be targeted at the core, where the spider sits; because, once the spider is killed, the web ceases to exist forever. Likewise, the web of stressors in which we often get trapped, keep troubling us despite our sincere attempts to overcome them. In order to seek a permanent relief from this painful trap, we need to launch an attack at the core, i.e. the mind. It is because all our actions and reactions are carried out under the commands of our mind, which itself is unstable or lacks wisdom. Whether a particular situation is seen as a stressor or a challenge to be won– all depends on our mind. It is essential to snatch the decision-making power from the unstable mind and give the charge to the enlightened soul. An awakened soul is the storehouse of wisdom. Every thought, before being manifested in the form of action, when filtered through wisdom gets rectified and purified. In this manner, the incoming signals from any stressor undergo a complete flip-over on coming in contact with the divine rays of the soul and are perceived judiciously. Hence, a person opts neither for the fight mode nor the flight mode; instead he chooses for himself the wise mode of action which saves him from getting trapped in the labyrinth of stress and anxiety.
Besides being a preventive measure from getting attacked by the malady of stress, soul's awakening also works as a powerful remedy for those who have unfortunately got slipped into the stress-trap. A well-known example comes from the age-old stress management book– the Holy Gita. Arjuna was a great warrior. However, on seeing his near and dear ones as his rivals on the opposite side in the battlefield, all his strength and vigour got vaporised in a flash and he was doomed in stress. At that time, Lord Krishna took Arjuna through extensive counselling sessions and procedures such as behavioural and cognitive therapies, as termed by the modern day psychology. But, no appreciable outcome was observed. Results were seen only when the Lord imparted the ultimate and time-proven technique to Arjuna. He initiated Arjuna into the eternal science of self-realisation, where after Arjuna realised his true nature and potential to deal with the challenging situations in life. The same Arjuna, who had met with a severe state of stress, was set free from its terrible clutches on becoming self-attuned. Today, the Bhagavad Gita is referred to as the ultimate guide for stress management. It clearly highlights the crucial need to seek refuge of a Perfect Master and attain the practical technique of Self-realisation from him. It is because a Perfect Spiritual Master alone is entitled to bestow this ultimate panacea upon the seekers and inquisitives and save them from the maladies like stress and depression. That's why, he is said to be the Supreme Psychologist, the Supreme Therapist, and the Supreme Doctor of the times.
This ultimate remedy works wonders for an individual as it brings a complete revolution in his mindset and his perception for the situations confronting him. Thereafter, whenever a challenge or obstacle comes in his way, he crosses it with full vigour and vitality, just like the military people do when they undergo their trainings. Obstacle trainings form an essential part of stressful fields like military, army, police, etc. Each obstacle poses a stressful challenge to the trainee. And, crossing the obstacles or crushing them marks his victory, which certainly gives a strong boost to his confidence and enthusiasm. The succeeding phases of trainings bring to him still bigger and tougher challenges/obstacles. But, the trainee does not perceive those bigger obstacles as a threat to his potential; rather, to deal with them, he braces himself up with even bigger levels of energy and vitality. We need to adopt the similar approach when confronted with challenges and hurdles. On seeing the stressors coming your way in the form of obstacles, you don't have to surrender before them or become stressed. Face them with a spirit and cross them or crush them forever, and maintain this zeal till your training to become a perfect warrior is accomplished. Remember, carbon turns into a sparkling diamond only after facing the heat and pressure for years together without giving up. Likewise, by knowing the correct technique, you can turn the heat of challenges and pressures of deadlines and targets in your favour, making you strong and brilliantly shining like diamonds instead of crushing you.
Once a disciple asked his Master, “O Master, how many moons does it take to light up the earthly night sky?”
The Master replied– "One".
Disciple: O Master, how many moons does it take to light up the Mars' night sky?
Master: Two.
Disciple: O Master, how many moons does it take to light up the Saturn' night sky?
Master: Sixty-two.
Disciple: O Master, how many moons does it take to light up the solar night?
Master: None, because there are no nights there!

So, why not be like the Sun (which signifies the effulgent Self), where no single trace of darkness of stress exists! The very term loses its existence. Then, no trifling moons of antidepressants or counselling or therapies are needed and one basks in the brilliance of the divine rays of enlightened soul.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

The spiritual masters considered it to be a crime to forget God for even a moment. Ironically, the modern day man has to struggle with his tightly packed schedule to find out a moment of remembrance for God. The master through the flux of his spiritual energy induces divine love in the heart of disciple. Through this heart to heart bonding, the master initiates the disciple into the Divine Knowledge.
In order to induct the divine love in the hearts of disciples to initiate them on the path of divinity, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) - a non- profit, non- government and a leading spiritual organization, headed and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a seven day program of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from April 18th – 24th, 2016 at Amritsar, Punjab.
Many valuable guests marked their presence at the venue. Some of them were Mr. Anil Joshi Ji (Cabinet Minister), Laxmi Kant Chawla (Ex Health Minister of Punjab), Mr. Navdeep Goldi (Councellor), Mr. O.P. Soni (MLA), Mr. Manmohan Jairath (Advocate), Mr. Bakshi Ram Arora (Mayor of Amritsar), Mr. Sardool Singh Bandala (Ex Cabinet Minister), and Mr. Rajiv Bhagat (Congress Amritsar City President).
The program extended warm welcome to all guests, preachers, volunteers and the audience. It commenced with holy prayer at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna. Vedic Chanting purified the ambience and engaged everyone in the divinity. Series of devotional bhajans aligned with melodious rhythm kept he audience engrossed. Inspirational lyrics tuned with devotion just touched the hearts of audience and encouraged each one to embrace the path of truth and continue to follow it in order to make their life a success.
The spiritual discourser of the program- Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji enlightened the audience with the words of wisdom. She beautifully explained that it is imperative to experience the divine kingdom of God within one’s soul rather than wondering him outside in this materialistic world. Mahatma Buddha, through a transformational technology of Divine Knowledge, transformed theShrimad Bhagwat Katha diabolic Angulimaal into saint Ahimsak, Guru Nanak Dev Ji transformed the famous fraud Sajjan Thug into a kind hearted man. Today His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, has also instigated a transformational wave across the globe, through the similar eternal divine technology of Brahm Gyan.
Hence, to be truly spiritual, one has to be bestowed with Divine Knowledge, and keep practicing meditation to reach the divine state of God within.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

The happiness for which you are searching is nowhere outside but within you. To get the eternal happiness, there is a need to seek for the True Master. These beautifully words reverberated in Chakan, Maharashtra from April 19 to 25 during Shrimad Bhagwat Katha organized by DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan). Katha orator, Sadhvi Padamhasta Bharti Ji, preacher disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, made it very clear that today's generation have to first seek for the company of true master and then only he can establish the true meaning of birth.

Each day of the Katha was vibrant with oration based decorations meticulously planned by DJJS volunteers. Many high profile guests and dignitaries also marked the divine assembly. It was bliss for everyone to attend such an enlightening Katha whose orator herself was self-realized by revered Gurudev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS). DJJS is a socio-spiritual organization whose pillars are carried by selfless volunteers who are generously dedicated towards the mission of world peace.

Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is a visionary saint, whose motto is to establish world peace by uniting all the inhabitants of the world into one global family. He quoted “The situation of the world cannot be grimmer than what is today, wherein upheaval and widespread calamity are just a press of button away to save the world from going into pieces, the need is to reform the terrorism mindset of its building blocks. Individual reformation can also lead to world reformation and the pre-requisite for that is Brahm Gyan- the art of governing one’s own self.

Sadhvi Ji orated, “People are so busy in decorating the destructive body that they forget the presence of a holy soul living within them who is craving to become auspicious with the grace of self realized master of time.” The preacher even made it easier for devotees to fathom "Why we need guru?" and "What is Brahm Gyan?" by singing bhajans (Devotional songs) in Maharashtra’s mother tongue ‘Marathi’. The beginning lines say it all:

' aaji soniyancha dinu warshe amrutancha ghanu,

hari pahila re hari pahila re sabhayabhntari awgha vypak murari!"

These lines were sung by Saint Gyaneshwar ji when he was bestowed upon with divine knowledge by his true master. It means “That the day of today is the golden day, I saw the father of universe and it lead to holy nectar fall within me.” We only request you to take one small initiative to meet your beloved GOD and you shall have it for sure.

True Purpose of Life through Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha

Through various bhajans and anecdotes she elucidated how time and again saints have asserted the significance of listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, as a tool to emancipate oneself from the cycle of birth and death.

An individual takes several life forms before getting a chance to take birth as a human being. Despite this fact, humans do not realise the true purpose of human life and spend the precious time in chasing temporary happiness. It is only in human form that the soul can attain liberation.

However, even after attaining this precious opportunity people do not engage in the activities which can take them to their goal. Instead, they get caught in the illusion of life which can be equated to dream state. When the soul is not awake, life merely becomes a dream of a sleeping soul.

In sleep state, we do not have control over the events; similarly life becomes an uncontrolled set of events without any direction and any certainty. As a result the life is caught in the web of relations and worldly pleasures and forgets the true purpose of life.

On the other hand, if the soul is awake, it can take proactive steps to change the course of life, to reach the goal of life, by walking on the path shown by “Perfect Master”. This in its true essence means leading a Spiritual life, i.e. the life of the “spirit” which is housed in our body in the form of life energy. “Perfect Master” or “Guru” is a spiritually awakened and realised being who can help human beings to walk on this path by initiating them to “Brahm Gyan”, the eternal science of self-realisation.

Once the disciple starts walking on the path shown by his/her Guru, the soul is empowered to take conscious control over the course of life, free of tribulations and impediments of normal life.

This does not necessarily means to reject life by walking into the forest to practice spirituality. Sri Aurobindo, an Indian freedom fighter turned spiritual saint, has summarised “Bhagwat Gita” as “All Life Is Yoga”. In this way the life can be lived while engaging in personal and professional activities, making every event an opportunity for spiritual development, which alone can give eternal happiness.

Solidifying Spiritual Roots Through Meditation

DJJS

Each era, the Lord manifests into the human garb to fulfill a divine dream. His heavenly acquisitions take form as the time progresses. Time and time again, HE prepares his disciples to contribute towards the holy target. On top of that, upon completion of the goal, HE gives all the credit to those who take part in his divine play. Similarly, His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji has set the aim of World Peace in which all are welcome to participate. HIS Holiness always glorifies those who continue to participate and withstand any obstacles, although a disciple knows that the one who in fact is behind any accomplishment is Guru (perfect master) Himself.

The spiritual uplifting carried out via devotional music. They also observed the divine spark ignited by the inspirational discourse delivered by various preachers of His Holiness.

Month-long awaited program always brings a new ray of hope, a new string of faith, and a new vow for victory in the parched hearts of the devotees. It kindles courage, strengthens beliefs, and energizes the dehydrated zeal. Those who attend feel fortunate and privileged to have found such a source of spiritual vitality.

From Self-Awakening to World Peace’ is the divine mantra. The need of the hour is to transform oneself and be the epitome of the change to the outside world. World Peace seems to be a tangible aspiration by seeing the works of DJJS. The momentum of activities is increasing by leaps and bounds in DJJS, and the day is not far when the world will taste the sweet nectar of a peaceful planet.

MAGICAL CODE TO SHOO AWAY FAILURES & DIFFICULTIES

spirituality

What is the difference between a ‘champion’ and an ‘average person’?”- This question was once asked to an English football player, Tom Hopkins. An apt and crisp reply came: “The single most important difference between champion achievers and average people istheir ability to handle rejection and failure.”

Perfectly true! To do a self-analysis check, just try answering genuinely in ‘yes’ or ‘no’ these questions:

Do you feel sad and disheartened when you meet with failures or difficulties?
What if these failures go on hitting you umpteen number of times?
Do you give up your determination when the world labels your idea as ‘impossible’?
Do you lose all your hopes, when situations don’t seem to be favouring you despite your maximum efforts?

If the answers to these questions are in ‘yes’, to whatsoever decibel of intensity, then here are a few exclusive real-life examples out of the innumerable ones, for you to receive sumptuous doses of inspiration!

The young and inexperienced shoulders of Chester Carlson were charged with the responsibility to look after the ailing parents due to adverse circumstances. When he was seventeen, he met with a sad demise of his mother. At the age of twenty four, his father also passed away. He struggled hard to earn a degree in physics, where after he tried rigorously for a job. Probably, you would receive a shock to know that he was rejected by “eighty two” firms before he made it to Bell Labs in New York.

In 1934, Chester was in a job where he had to make copies of drawings by hand. But, even after so many painful and challenging strokes, destiny was not yet over with its stock of difficulties for Chester. His hands used to pain a lot, with the problem aggravating as the time passed. Chester was suffering from the problem of arthritis. When his whole job and hence livelihood depended on his hands, which were now on their way to ditch him, what was Chester’s move? Did he quit the job… to take a difficult dive in the swarm of rejections? Or, was he readying himself to sit with his head in hands, crying and wailing over his state?

What choice he opted?

When difficulties, challenges and failures try to kick you hard and knock you down, don’t turn your mood off! That’s not the wise angle to look at things! Instead, adopt an intelligent perception… How? What is that magical code to shoo away all failures and difficulties? To know this and furthermore, read the complete article in February edition of English Akhand Gyan monthly magazine.

Spirituality

If you cry because the sun has gone out of your life, your tears will prevent you from seeing the stars.”

These words by Nobel laureate Shri Rabindranath Tagore are not meant for mere reading, but to understand the deep underlying meaning merged in them. In today’s time when the society is plagued with negativity, the event of “Bhajan Sandhya” was the supreme endeavour of DivyaJyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) to channelize true devotion. Series of divine devotional bhajans based on the supreme eternal music connected each soul with the almighty, and spiritualized the hearts of the audience.

Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, enlightened the profound meaning of each bhajan with narrations fromVedas and Upanishads. Shri AshutoshMaharaj Ji explained that human being who is said to be crown of creation, is leading a miserable life because of the ignorance of his true self - his soul, which is a part of lord almighty himself. Nowadays when one’s life seems to be a complete mess, a Bhajan Sandhya like this can fill it with fresh air full of divinity & compassion.

The program was a great success as it seemed to have filled the minds of the entire congregation with happiness & enthusiasm. The discourses described ‘Brahm Gyan’ as the solution to connect with their Inner GOD. All these efforts were highly appreciated by the attendees.

Spread the Message of Peace

With the divine grace of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Founder and Head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, the organization is spreading the aroma of peace and humanity all around the world through the Vedic spiritual science of ‘Brahm Gyan’.

The Katha Vyas Sadhvi Praveena Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji wonderfully elaborated the life and deeds of Shri Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. She elucidated that Lord Ram’s advent on earth aimed at the re-establishment of Truth. His life and journey was the perfect example of humanity, truthfulness and endurance. Despite many difficulties, He set forth an example of ideal living for the entire mankind. Shri Ram personifies the characteristics of ‘Purushottama’ – Right Action Man: RAM. There is a lot that we can learn from the life of Shri Ram.

The purpose of the event was to enlighten the masses about the real essence of ‘Bhakti’ and create an awareness among the people that ‘Global Peace’ can be achieved only when every single human finds inner peace. Inner peace begins only when the minds of people transform, which is possible only when they can connect with the ‘Supreme Divine Force’ within.

The captivating discourse was accompanied by melodious and soulful bhajans which left the audiences spellbound.

Large number of devotees gathered and actively participated in event. The discourse concluded with the distribution of prasadam and people took valuable lessons with them. On the whole, the Katha was a huge success and left the gathering wanting for more.

HOW TO BREAK THE HATE-CIRCUIT?

It's true that we hold our lives very dear to ourselves. But, do we also hold dear those traits which actually make us alive in the true sense? As none of us would be ready to exchange our lives with howsoever big an offer comes to allure us; why then we discount our humanistic ideals in exchange of trifle allurements, succumbing to the commands of our mind?

One of the prime yardsticks that characterize a human being is 'forgiveness'. It's a trait which can metamorphose the entire behavioral make-up of an individual. On the other hand, if in place of forgiveness, hatred is nurtured, it severely harms the life. How forgiveness acts as a boon and hatred as bane, let's analyze…

A proverb says– ' The man who opts for revenge should dig two graves.' In fact, the reality extends much beyond. It is not just the subject and the object of hatred, which are affected. Instead, the vibrations emanating from a person filled with the thoughts of hatred inflict threat to his surroundings, and the world at large. These vibrations cause disturbance in the magnetic field of the earth, thereby disrupting its state of equilibrium and peace.

Research by psychologists has made it evident that with the upsurge of hatred feelings on recalling past incidents, there is a parallel effect on one's physiology. The blood pressure, heart beat rate, and sweat gland activity increases, which certainly causes inconvenience. Coming to the impact on psychology, when we nurture the feelings of hatred in our inner being, truckload joules of heat is generated in the brain, thereby upsetting the nervous system. Consequently, the entire dynamics of the psycho-setup gets badly affected, thrashing down the peace of mind to pieces.

Therefore, the wise ones always recommend that when you encounter any situation which tends to shatter your inner peace with the toxic fumes of hatred, adopt an intelligent route. Remind yourselves that although it is easier to reciprocate injustice with hatred, yet you will poison your inner-being by entertaining such feelings. Try practicing forgiveness once. After tasting its fruit, it's guaranteed that you will never revert to the path of hatred. In this manner, you will be the fortunate one to say, “I was doubly benefited! I wasn't harmed by your attacks; simultaneously, I wished for your well-being! These benefits were worth procuring than the momentary satisfaction of hatred and revenge!”

Global peace

What is the process of realization of God? What is the purpose of life? What is the reality of this metaphysical world? How to establish peace in life? These were the divine questions for which solutions were provided in the event. The program commenced with a series of devotional music that filled the hearts of audience with the zeal to know God. Also it was emphasized that there is no silver bullet to attain Global peace. Just the way we breakdown a task into its sub-activities, Global peace is broken down into its smallest unit of individual peace. Unless an individual is at peace, he/she can never translate the same at the society, country or world level.

Present day real life examples as well as examples from the history were shared during discourse by the preachers. Preachers told about the challenges and hurdles that a person has to go through in his life and how can a person overcome these problems with the help of ‘Brahm Gyan’. The preachers also stressed on the fact that in hustle bustle of life these days, no one has the quest and zeal to attain peace or realize GOD, a longing that Saints like Vivekananda always had. So DJJS (under the aegis of perfect master of today, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji) is providing Brahm Gyan free of cost so that individual can realize GOD within. The need is to take few steps forward on the path of Truth to lead a balanced and contended life. Then only true inculcation of Ramcharitrmanas and Gita is possible.

An ultimate Remedy to stress - peace and spirituality

Calculate your score for the following questionnaire:

  • Feel tired or fatigued even after taking adequate sleep?
  • Experience frequent mood swings?
  • Face difficulty in taking decisions?
  • Face problem in concentration and remembering important things?
  • Experience headache, stomach disorders, and restlessness?
  • Fall short of time often and have to rush to get the job completed?
  • Unable to perform tasks well?
  • Observe changes in appetite– desire to binge or loss of appetite?
  •  Lack the zeal and spirit to deal with the situations in life?
  • Even trifle matters annoy you or make you upset?
